I don't currently have a boyfriend or significant other, but when I did I was always stumped on Valentine's Day as to what to give as a gift.  I wish I had known then about DateVitation.

I also  moved this weekend! AHH - the big move, it was not that "big".   I went from a studio apartment to a one bedroom a little more than double the size.  So, I feel like I'm in a huge place right now and it's kind of awesome!  I posted a few pictures on Instagram, if don't follow along you should...
Once I get everything set I'll post some pictures here so you can share my space with me, but I'm totally ecstatic!
On another note, my sister Morgan took my photos yesterday.  It was a nice change of pace from the tripod and people starring.  She did a great job and I didn't have to give her a tutorial on the DLSR - she's hired.

It's been SO hot the past few days.  I just threw this outfit together because the lighter hues made me feel cooler, plus peach and white just feel like summer to me.  Like an orange-cicle.    

I'm also not quite certain how you ladies with beautiful curles do it in the heat.  My hair is cray (yep, Sara I said cray) right now in this humidity!  And thank goodness you cannot really tell in these photos but I'm sporting some pretty sexy tan lines from the Zac Brown Band concert extravaganza Sunday.   If you like country/folky music and he comes your way - Go.  No ifs, ands, or buts.  Trust - it was amazing!

cali trip - what to pack!

Next week I head off to California for the North American Irish Dance Nationals!  I'm thrilled to have two of my dancers compete in solos and to have the opportunity to go.   When JillGG of Good Life for Less posted yesterday about a week at the beach, it really got me brainstorming on what I'm going to pack for my trip.  I will need a few dresses and semi-formal/business attire for the days that I'm walking around the competition.  But, I have a few days in between where I'll be traveling to Disney Land and laying by the pool.

I've rounded up a few key pieces that are exact or similar to what I'll be taking with me.  Can't go anywhere without stripes, florals and chambray!  Also need a good nude wedge, nice flat that I can walk around in, a tote to carry my day to day essentials and comfortable travel wear.
