3 ways to wear faux fur vest

On Tuesday I rounded up a few classic cut jackets and outerwear that I think are essential to upgrade or add to your closet this season.   One of the pieces I chose is the fur vest.  I definitely think this is a closet staple and a great addition to anybody's wardrobe.  It's versatility and functionality are key for this seasons unpredictable weather and layering trends.   I currently have two in my closet and have also been inspired by a few images floating around pinterest and on instagram.  
Today I've styled this arguably classic piece three ways.

The second look is definitely mostly my syle; but, I love the idea of layering a shaggy vest over a sleek dress as shown in the first style board.  Add edgy booties and a fun eye catching statement and you're ready for date night!

Alright, alright I know of droned on and on about how fall is my favorite time of year.  But, seriously - it is.  Who doesn't feel all cozy when you're layered up with a Pumpkin Spice Latte keeping your palm warm, right?  Right.   It's about this time of year when I dust off all of my jackets, vests and coats and evaluate what's still in good enough shape to keep and what styles and trends I'd like to scoop up.  I'm loving all of the rich and bold colors and different styles and cuts.

That hot pink moto is to die for! What a fun piece to add to your outerwear collection.  Vests and puffers are sticking around this season.  Vests are perfection for fall, the ultimate layer piece!   A fur vest doesn't offer too much protection from the elements but it's a great trendy layer piece and sure is warm! Everyone needs a classic car coat and/or dress coat.  J.Crew, LOFT, and other business casual style stores have great options!

moto jacket styles to rev your engine

The Moto Jacket is classic piece that can be worn many ways.  I love how SeeJane styled it here, and was inspired to put together a few style boards.
Moto Jackets are the perfect transition piece, they go great over flouncy frocks to get you through fall and are a great layer over a sweater to carry into winter.
I've styled three styles below; the classic, the vest, and quilted.


A classic moto can be worn with anything but I love pairing it with an unexpected tank or shell, fun flat booties and a pop of color.  This outfit is perfect for a weekend lunch, errands, or a casual party.

In my moto searches I came across this Vince Camuto vest - drool!! Not only are vests hot this season but a quilted, moto style?  Can you fit anymore trends into one spectacular piece? 

I styled this layered over a slouchy cowell neck sweater, legging jeans and interesting accessories.  I love adding pops of color this time of year.  It adds interest and a bit of an unexpected flair to your look. 

This quilted jacket was another trendy moto I found perusing the internets. I love it's super casual feel.  Layered over a graphic tee with boyfriends and oxfords this look is great for a Sunday brunch or lunch with your gals.

2 ways to wear TWEED

Tweed is a classic piece that has reared it's head through fashion once or twice...alright maybe a few more times than that.  It has such a cozy element to it, yet is completely chic.
I love the idea of pairing tweed with a unexpected patterned pant for the weekend; add a pop of color and a great jewelry piece for a bit of interest and you're cozy and put together for what ever your Saturday has in store.

I also love the classic element to Tweed.  A tweed dress with leather accents adds a bit of edge.  Style this classically with a bold shoe, chic handbag and colorful statement and you're ready to go challenge corporate America.

tuesday trend - snakeskin

You all know my obsession with Leopard print.  Slowly I'm being turned onto other animal prints; for instance, the bathroom in my new apartment is zebra!  Taking a trip on the wild side - for me an animal print is a great way to jazz up a neutral hue.   Snakeskin is such a neutral,  yet it's so fun and the perfect interest piece to any boring outfit.

The quintessential fall look is a layered one.  As the temps drop it's all you want to do, right?  Take that sweater and pop it over your favorite button up; but, if you're like me you drool over looks all over Pinterest that are effortlessly chic and cozy yet still look incredibly put together.
