It's too bad the weather here only allowed for as little clothing as I'm wearing here.  I could have styled these puppies in every which way.  If you haven't scooped up a pair you must!  So versatile.  I styled them here with my favorite boyfriend jeans, loose tee and pop of bold colors.  

I hope you also pop over to Adri's blog!  You will love her style and she's basically the reason I purchased these shoes.  I saw her style them a few weeks back and directly to the Forever 21 website I went.   I could not help it (a likely excuse, one I used to justify my new handbag too) sometimes you have holes in  your closet.  A pair of open toe booties like these were on my list and I'm so glad I found them at a price point I didn't cringe at pressing submit.

 Despite being back in chilly weather I opted to style my white pants with a springy sweater.  I'm such a rebel wearing not only white pants but with neon stripes as if it's April and not the end of February. Come spring and summer I wear the crap out of these pants.  With caution, of course, because unlike any other human in the world I am accident prone with white clothing.   Yet, there is nothing better than a bright white tee or a crisp oxford.

Remember when I told you how to wear neon to work?  I love this top, it makes the perfect little shell.  The tank straps are too skinny to wear alone, though.   But, it was a nice pop of color.  

I wish that you could really see my little bracelet - it's an Anchor and the perfect little accessory.  This is when the tripod and I struggle to show you what I've styled.   Speaking of tripods - anyone else who uses one, do you get strange looks from people?  I typically stop at my dance studio to take advantage of this perfectly distressed brick wall as a back drop, because it's on my way to work.  Since I also rent the building I figure if anyone is going to give me a hard time I have that going for me...  People typically just stare but I often get the questions of whether I'm taking a picture of the wall.  Yes, sir.  I'm taking a picture of a bare wall.  Every day.  People can be very curious :) 

But peeps - TGIF!!  I finally woke up feeling like it was Friday and it actually was!!  Do you all have exciting things in store this weekend?  Hope so!

3 ways to bring neon to the office with you

Are your summer clothes starting to get a little hum-drum?  Mine too!  I myself want to incorporate fun pieces into my 9-5 wardrobe, and neon is a great way to keep your outfits interesting and chic!   I know, I know, neon has been around for a bit now.  But, I do feel like it's hard to pull the trigger on some trends when it comes to mixing them into your work wardrobe.  I'm always looking for different ways to style my pieces so that each outfit looks interesting and new.  People at work think I only wear some things once and then keep buying, but that's the remixing at work! (By the way, who does that? Anyone? If you can afford that I'm jealous!)

A super simple way to spruce up the typical jacket and skirt look is to wear a neon tank or cami instead of your typical shell.  Add a fun and flirty skirt a nude shoe and great bag!

In this look I paired these awesome navy dotted cropped pants that I've been drooling over with a patterned top and neon accessories.  These flats are adorable (just got mine in the mail, SO COMFY!).  And how awesome is that blingy bangle with little neon accents? Perfection.

Stripes and neon seems like a no-brainer, right?  Well, this neon pencil is just the ticket.  Pair it with stripes, or a simple button down and you're on your way to chic.    This bag is a great tote size with little neon peeks as well and adding another color on your ears keeps the look playful for summer!

I don't have to tell you how hot it's been (100 last Friday!).  Which means I grab the clothing with the least amount of effort and weight.  Luckily, I do work in air conditioning all day! 

This weekend flew by and today I'm off to the beach.  Saturday I went to Toronto to watch their Major League Soccer team Toronto Football Club.   I played soccer for 10 years so I always enjoy that.  It was such a crap rainy day here but once we crossed the boarder it was gorgeous!   

Sunday a bunch of us went to see Toby Keith - oh.  my.  god.  Amazing!   He's one of my favorites as far as Country goes and it was great finally seeing him live.

boy meets girl

If you've been around a while you know that one of my favorite contrasting looks is something incredibly masculine with bits of feminine.   It's been hotter than blazes the past few days and when I knew I'd be in a hot box all day for the Rochester Feis (Fesh; Dance competition) I opted for this really loose boyfriend button up.   I was cool and bright!

This weekend flew by - between teaching dance Friday for my partner who was still away, the Feis Saturday and then my sisters graduation party yesterday - it's been insane.   I had a blast, though.  Spent time with some family I haven't seen in a very long time.

my 90's roots

All of the neon that is back in brings me back to my 90's roots.  My mom pointed it out this weekend.  I failed to believe it, but she's right!   If you follow me on instagram you know that I did a little Old Navy haul last Friday.  This top was one of my "outside of the box" purchases.  Not necessarily something I needed, but I know I'll wear the hell out of it this summer.  The neon with the nude is the perfect blend of pop with grounding.
